The Old Marylebone Town House

The Old Marylebone Town Hall is one of London’s most iconic venues for weddings and civil partnerships. The building reopened at the beginning of 2018, following an extensive renovation which spanned four years, preserving its original heritage and splendour in its entirety.

The Old Marylebone Town Hall’s famous steps and trademark Corinthian columns have provided the backdrop for many high-profile wedding photographs, most notably for Sir Paul McCartney’s marriage to his late wife Linda, and more recently Nancy Shevell. Other celebrity weddings include Ringo Starr and Barbara Bach, Liam Gallagher and Patsy Kensit (and later Nicole Appleton), Antonio Banderas and Melanie Griffith – to name a few!

The design of the newly restored Old Marylebone Town Hall is a blend of
old and new, revolving around the sensitive refurbishment and enhancement of the original building. The elegant interiors and furnishings work seamlessly to heighten the celebratory atmosphere of the spaces. There are seven stunning ceremony rooms from which to choose, comprised of an array of sizes and following themes of silver, rose gold and gold – the precious metals associated with wedding rings. The themes are captured in the design through the mirrors, fabrics and also the light fittings, that range from delicate contemporary circular pendants, again, a nod to the wedding ring,
to more elaborate, glamorous chandeliers.
